Understanding the Problem
Connected Accounting's original logo was a lowercase C and A in a curvy font, which compromised legibility. The brand wanted to keep the integrity of the original logo, but wanted a cleaner, less feminine version that would appeal to a larger demographic.
Although Connected Accounting liked the original green palette, the brand wanted colors that felt more fresh and modern and wanted to add a pop of color.
As the brand is digital-facing, it also needed a typeface that was legible and reflected tech.
Connected Accounting also needed custom iconography to stand out from other competitors and showcase top services and benefits.
Creating a Solution
After conducting and presenting market research to the brand, I designed an updated logo that is clearly legible, gave the brand a refreshed color palette with a pop of color, chose a digital-first font, and created custom and recognizable iconography.
Putting it all Together
Connected Accounting's refreshed brand identity is clean and modern, and is a unique brand in the fintech space.

I redesigned the logotype to be more modern and legible by utilizing a sans serif font and connected the c and A to reflect the name of the brand

Understanding the Problem
Once the brand identity was completed, Connected Accounting needed a simple, branded website refresh that was user-friendly and provided the information people needed to motivate them to action.
I audited Connected Accounting's original website and conducted research on similar platforms in the fintech space to set benchmarks moving forward.
Findings of Objective 1
The first key objective was identifying the best way to help users find the services and solutions the brand offered. In this case, I found that placing services as the first URL in the main navigation, adding the services under the fold on the index page, and including detailed information about each of the services could reduce user uncertainty.

Question
The second key objective was finding ways that Connected Accounting's site could stand out from competitors. Findings included stating solutions near the top of the index page to give potential clients a hook and creating strategic content and specific wording to let people know what to expect.
The third key objective was evaluating the best strategies to showcase integrated technology platforms. I found that placing the logo of each software near the respective service could highlight the brand's expertise and help users understand what platforms Connected Accounting could integrate into their business.
